AGPL-3.0
About
Overpass API is a read-only database engine that answers queries against the OpenStreetMap data set using the Overpass QL language. Results are returned as JSON, XML, GeoJSON, CSV or KML, which makes it the usual way for an application to fetch a small or medium OSM extract at runtime. Instances are self-hosted from a planet or regional extract, or queried against the public server at overpass-api.de.
Features
- Queries OpenStreetMap data with the Overpass QL language
- Returns JSON, XML, GeoJSON, CSV or KML
- Spatial filters by bounding box, polygon, radius or area ID
- Recurse operators for nodes, ways, relations and their members
- Self-hosted from a planet or regional OSM extract
- Public instance available at overpass-api.de
