About
pyproj is a Python interface to the PROJ library for working with coordinate reference systems, transformations, grid shifts, and geodesic calculations. It provides a Pythonic API for CRS definitions, datum and grid-based transformations, and coordinate operations used throughout the geospatial Python stack. pyproj is the Python binding used by libraries such as GeoPandas and Rasterio.
