About
GeoTrellis is a Scala library and framework for reading, writing and operating on geospatial raster and vector data, with a focus on tiled rasters and MapAlgebra operations such as focal, zonal and summary statistics. It ships Spark helpers, pluggable store modules for Accumulo, HBase, Cassandra and S3, GDAL bindings, JTS-backed vector types and experimental vector tile support. A LocationTech project originally started at Azavea in 2011, it currently targets Scala 2.13 and 3 with Spark 4.x.
Features
- Tiled raster types with MapAlgebra operations
- Focal, zonal, and summary statistics
- Vector types extending JTS
- Spark bindings and ingest pipelines
- Accumulo, HBase, Cassandra, and S3 stores
- GDAL bindings for raster and vector I/O
