# GeoWave

Canonical: https://gisforweb.com/tools/geowave/

Library that adds geospatial and temporal indexing to distributed key/value stores.

GeoWave is a Java library for storing, indexing and searching multi-dimensional geospatial data on top of sorted key/value stores such as Accumulo, HBase, Cassandra, Bigtable, DynamoDB, Kudu, Redis and RocksDB. It supports OGC spatial types up to three dimensions plus bounded and unbounded time, and its geospatial layer builds on the GeoTools extensibility model, so it integrates with GeoServer and uDig and ingests GeoTools-compatible data sources. Server-side filtering and aggregation keep query processing close to the data, with Hadoop I/O formats and Spark RDD bindings for custom analytics. Part of the LocationTech project.
