D3 is a JavaScript library for producing data-driven documents, with SVG, Canvas and HTML output. Its d3-geo module implements geographic and projected map projections, path generation and spherical geometry, which makes D3 a common building block for bespoke web cartography outside of tile renderers. The rest of the library covers scales, shapes and layout used for map legends, axes and charts.
